About
Dr. Gupta has extensive experience collaborating with renowned institutions such as the Department of Mood Disorder at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, USA, and the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre at AIIMS, New Delhi. He has also partnered with various governmental bodies in India, including the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and the Social Welfare Department of the Government of NCT, Delhi.
While based at VIMHANS, Dr. Gupta has honed his clinical skills in diagnosing and treating mental health and addiction issues and has also been a proactive contributor to research initiatives. He has shaped and executed national policies aimed at combating mental health challenges and substance abuse in India.
Proficient in psychotropic medications, Dr. Gupta also highly advocates for holistic approaches such as psychotherapy, nutritional guidance, yoga, meditation, and the power of positive thinking. Over a career spanning a decade, he has treated a diverse patient population varying in age, gender, cultural background, and socioeconomic status. His primary focus areas include treating mental disorders, drug addiction, rapid detoxification, rehabilitation therapies for substance abuse, and managing dual diagnosis conditions.
